Earlier this week, Rep. Cam Cavitt (R-Cheboygan) awarded legislative tributes to two retiring police officers in Cheboygan, Michigan.
The first tribute was presented to Sheriff Dale Clarmont of the Cheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, who retired after 35 years in law enforcement. The second was presented to the City of Cheboygan’s Police Chief Kurt Jones, who retired after 42 years in law enforcement.
“Both of these men have sacrificed so much for our community,” Cavitt said. “They dedicated their lives to public service. Their bravery on daily basis is a testament to their dedication to our community, and our state. I wish them both a happy and well-deserved retirement.”
